Join Victoria Muir, leading Womens Health Physiotherapist and Julie Holl, post natal exercise specialist for an empowering, educational and confidence building workshop on pelvic floor and core health.

 

We have two workshop times to choose from: 

9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm. 

Both workshops will have the same content.

 

The New Mums Wellness Day Schedule

Pelvic floor and core health workshop with

Victoria Muir and Julie Holl

In this workshop, our Womens Health Physiotherapist, Victoria will educate you about the pelvic floor, how it works, why it is so important and how to engage it. She will discuss potential problems that can arise following pregnancy and childbirth and ways to manage and treat the symptoms.

Julie, our post natal exercise specialist, will then discuss with you the importance of effective core work, a good breathing strategy and ways to support your lower back as your body adapts to the new movements you find yourself now doing (feedinfg, soothing, carrying, cuddling)

 

Comfort break

During the comfort break, there will be lots of stands and stalls with a huge variety of therapists and services available to talk to that can all help wiht your post natal journey.

 

Diastasis Recti Checks

Victoria and Julie will be offering one to one tummy checks to feel for a condition called Diastasis Recti. This is a common condition following pregnancy that affects your core muscles. A simple, pain free check by a qualified therapist can help you better understand what path is best for you and what exercise, movement, and core work is best at your of stage post natal recovery. 

 

Post Natal Exercise Workshop

It’s time to debunk some old fashioned, out dated fitness myths! 

We are surrounded by social influences which are often based on personal experience rather than a scientific and research based approach, which can mean post natal exercise can be very confusing. During this hour long workshop we are going to quash the myths and give you research driven advice so you can return to exercise safely and effectively.

Throughout the day, Julie and Victoria will be on hand to answer your questions. We will have a variety of other services who you can talk to should you wish to.

Babies are more then welcome to join you for these workshops. There are rooms set aside should you wish to have some quiet time. If your baby becomes restless and unsettled, please do not worry, you are amongst wonderful company. 

We are surround by glorious countryside so you’re welcome to drop in and out of the workshops and take in the fresh air if you need it.
